I am proud to witness the swearing-in of Hon. Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the third Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.

I know him as a dedicated professional whose commitment to excellence has helped us overcome formidable challenges and as a tireless public servant on the path of national leadership.

Prof. Kindiki is a patriot whose dedication to cohesion, national unity, and inclusivity is beyond reproach; he is an effective champion of peace and security across our country and a loyal steward of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of observing Prof. Kindiki’s work as a professor, litigation lawyer, consulting attorney, senator representing Tharaka-Nithi, Majority Leader of the Senate, and, most recently, Cabinet Secretary.

In all these roles, he has demonstrated exceptional dedication, competence, and professionalism, consistently delivering results that exceed expectations.

Prof. Kindiki is a highly qualified and distinguished scholar, advocate, and public servant whose career has been marked by exemplary achievements that reflect his vision for positive change and commitment to high standards of efficiency in the performance of his duties.

At this stage in the implementation of our national transformation agenda, the people of Kenya require a patriotic public servant and a consummate champion of our constitutional dispensation, a broad-based national governance framework, and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda to support the Cabinet and the presidency in delivering fully and on time.

This moment calls for an individual who takes pride in a job well done, is humble enough to be a loyal servant of the people, selfless enough to mobilise the entirety of government towards delivering for Kenya, and experienced enough to understand the importance of engaging all sectors of our economy to drive transformation, while serving with professionalism, loyalty, and integrity.

I am pleased to affirm that our coalition, and indeed our nation, is blessed with many professionals who meet these criteria.

Among them, Prof. Kindiki stands out for his qualifications, extensive experience, and wide-ranging accomplishments.

I am honoured that he is available, ready, and willing to serve as my deputy.

Prof. Kindiki, as you and we all know, there is much to be done to fulfil our commitments and set our nation on the path to prosperity.

I expect you to embark on your duties with urgency and commitment. I wish you success as you begin your service in the high office you have assumed.

May God bless you and your family, and may God bless Kenya.
