Former Minister for Culture and Social Services Winnie Nyiva Mwendwa's grandson over the weekend tied the knot in a crystal cultural wedding in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Eng. William Maluki Ngumbau said ‘I do’ to his Ethiopian hottie, Ms. Eden Fitsum Meles’ in an invite-only wedding which was officiated by priest Maregu Tesfay on Saturday.
The mechanical engineer’s wedding was filled with pomp and colour as guests turned up in their top notch outfits with a touch of traditional fashions at the horn of Africa.
On Thursday evening, the guests spent time at Yod Abyssinia cultural restaurant and on Friday they visited Unity Park and Entoto Park before gracing the main event that took place at a park near Ayat Neighborhood.
Among the invited guests who attended the grand wedding is serving Kenya ambassador to Uganda Kiema Kilonzo.
The newlywed young man is son to prominent Nairobi businessman and former Kitui Gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Kennedy Ngumbau Mulwa who also served as chairman of Mumias Sugar Company. His mother Lucia Mulwa is the current CEC in charge of Food, Agriculture and Forestry at Nairobi City county government.
The couple is also expected to do a Kamba traditional wedding at their father’s home in Kitui County.
