Police in Kisumu have launched investigations into the gruesome killing of a woman whose body was found dumped at Nyamasaria.
According to County Commander Samuel Anampiu, the killers of Linda Juma attempted to conceal her murder by dragging her body on the road to make it appear as if she was a victim of a hit-and-run accident.
Anampiu said Juma, 30, had a fracture on her skull and bruises on her back. He noted that that there were no skid marks or signs of braking in the area where the body was found.
"The body had a slight fracture on the skull and bruises on her back which were concealed by her dress and suspected to have been inflicted as a result of being dragged on a rough surface," said Anampiu.
Initial reports to the police by witnesses who stumbled on the body claimed she was involved in a car accident. Personal effects including a mobile phone and a wristwatch were found next to the body.
