A rescue operation to recover bodies of seven victims who were swept away by flash floods at the Hell’s Gate National Park is currently underway.
Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Corporate Communication Director Paul Udoto confirmed deaths of six of the victims on Monday morning.
The body of one person was yet to be recovered as of Monday morning.
A multi-agency team that includes police, Kenya Red Cross officials and officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service has been conducting the search and rescue operation since Sunday evening when the incident occurred.
