Witchdoctor Annah Mutheu has said her life is in danger.
Mutheu reported to the police that someone called a local radio station, claiming she is keeping more than Sh30 million in cash at her Tala home in Machakos.
“I have reported the matter to Tala Police Station. The people also added that I make Sh1.8 million in a day," she said.
The witchdoctor said she has been receiving calls from people she does not know, asking for money.
The callers have threatened to break into her house.
"There are fake witchdoctors from ukambani impersonating me, putting my business at risk," she said.
Mutheu denied allegations that the callers had visited her home and saw the amount mentioned.
She, however, adds that her clients are well-off citizens.
Mutheu estimates her house to be worth Sh40 million.
She has a fleet of cars and often flies in and out of the country.
While a majority of witchdoctors purport to make others rich, they are often stuck in povert. But Mutheu's case is different.
The Standard Eight dropout says she inherited the trade from her parents and is not afraid to flaunt her wealth.
Mutheu says the Bible helps her in healing her clients and that she never misses church on Sunday.
The 41-year-old mother of three prefers to be called ‘Boss Lady'.
She says she has invested in her looks and home, which she says have attracted more clients.
In 2018 Mutheu was arrested together with businessman Johnstone Macharia for allegedly being involved in a car theft syndicate.
The two were later set free by a Nairobi court after the prosecution failed to produce evidence linking them to the theft.
