Former United States of America First Lady Michelle Obama is gracing the cover of Elle Magazine’s December issue.
Michelle is wearing a pleated white button-down Dior dress, with a leather-like bustier, all from the luxury French brand Dior. She also spots on-trend lace sock heels designed by Gianvito Rossia. Topping her beautiful outfit is the signature warm Michelle Obama smile.
In the magazine, the 54-year-old who looks devastatingly stylish, has an interview with Oprah Winfrey and she speaks about her relationship with former PROTUS, their marriage life, her highly-anticipated memoir ‘Becoming’ and life after the white house.
Becoming, which was published some days ago has been described as offering a more personal invitation into her life than any she’s previously extended. Talking about the book, the former FLOTUS tells Oprah that she likes her story and all the bumps and bruises that come with it and that’s why she wasn’t scared to write about her private life.
“People always ask me, 'Why is it that you’re so authentic?'… 'How is it that people connect to you?' And I think it starts because I like me. I like my story and all the bumps and bruises. That’s what makes me uniquely me”, she said.
The news making cover page is work aimed at supporting women and most of the work for the cover shoot was done by women. The pictures are by celebrity photographer Miller Mobley while her makeup is by Carl Ray. Her hairdresser is Yene Damtew while styling is done by Meredith Koop.
Her outfit has significance as the white represents hope and faith while silver stands for modernity and glamour. The white shirt cost $1,350 white, pleated skirt cost $4,900 while the leather bustier costs $2,400. The entire outfit costs $8,640, about 860,000 Kenyan Shillings.
