Like the woman who is reading this, you are different from the next. All women are unique and special in their own way.
They differ in their life goals, passions, circumstances they are in and of course the resources available to their disposal.
According to TED Talks, success can be described as feeling that tingle of excitement about what you do, sticking with what matters through hard times and living a life you can feel proud of in retrospect.
Measured in different ways, success comes in many different ways but what these successful women do whether artists, authors or mothers, their practices are quite similar.
These are 6 things successful women do.
1. They set S.M.A.R.T goals
Setting specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely goals will encourage you to be better equipped to face any obstacles that could hinder you from achieving your goals. Stick it through and you will achieve your targets.
2. They create checklists
There’s so many things to do in a week let alone in a day. Make life simple by creating a checklist on paper or on your mobile device. Keeping a checklist allows you to zero in and complete each task.
3. They continue to learn
The reason many women currently hold high positions in different fields and careers is because they pursued their education and continue to do so. There are endless opportunities with the right papers and experience. In short, get your papers right and if that is not the direction you are aiming for, ensure you are learning something new to keep your mind fresh. Always challenge yourself to achieve more.
4. They stay true to their values
Authentically being you is a part of being a successful woman. Sure you will evolve throughout your lifetime but core values always seem to be the same. Stay true to who you are which includes your morals, values and ethics.
5. They understand that failure contributes to success
Successful women are not afraid to face and dissect their failures so they can learn from them. Take notes, learn and you have to, do it again. Don't give up.
6. Successful women are not threatened by other women
Successful women are strong and secure in themselves to the point where other successful women doesn't faze them. If anything, they value other women's worth, achievements and celebrate it.
