Alliance boys high school principal Davis Kariuki may be on his way out before his retirement over claims that he had violated fees guidelines and that he had failed to stop bullying among his students.
Embu County member of Parliament and education committee member Rose Mitaru on Tuesday reported to the national assembly that forces within the education ministry were piling pressure on the principal with a view of removing him from office over alleged violation of school fees guidelines.
She said there was an intention to remove him from the school for failure to stop bullying of junior students in the school.
"There are forces at the education ministry piling pressure on Mr Kariuki with the intention of bouncing him off office before he gets to retirement age over various allegations, "said Mrs Mitaru.
She has called on the national assembly education committee's interventions as many parents had raised concerns over the move to have him replaced.
The committee chair Sabina Chege said there is need for the legislators to allow the teachers service commission to do its job and pledged to only intervene if any unfairness is reported in the process.
She said the committee will make an inquest into the matter and report to the house within a week and dispelled claims that the school would perform below expectations if Mr Kariuki is moved saying, as a good teacher it is not bad if he is asked to offer his leadership in other schools.
