Kenyans wishing to travel through South Africa will now not require a visa. South Africa's Home Affairs minister Malusi Gigaba said after talks with Kenya's Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, they had decided to waive the visa fees for those on transit.

This will be pegged on the number of hours Kenyans will spend in South Africa awaiting transit. South Africa and Kenya will discuss ways of waiving visa requirements for government officials.
