Baringo, Kenya: Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi has congratulated President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta after the Supreme Court declared him duly elected.
The Kanu National Chairman congratulated the president-elect and wished him well in his presidency on his social network page.
“I would like to officially congratulate his Excellency President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta on being elected the fourth president of Kenya. I wish him well in his presidency,” he said.
Gideon also hailed the outgoing Prime Minister Raila Odinga for peacefully accepting the Supreme Court ruling, which confirmed the Jubilee coalition flag bearers were elected in a free and fair manner.
“For the Prime Minister I thank you for peacefully accepting the Supreme Court ruling. You served this nation well and diligently,” added the Baringo Senator.
During the swearing in of Baringo County Governor Benjamin Cheboi, Gideon had pledged to work with all the elected leaders in the area regardless of party affiliation.
Gideon said it was high time the leaders put their party politics and political differences aside and work for the people to realise meaningful development at the end of their five-year term.
