With a new controversial secular single Maswali Ya Polisi, DNA has declared that he is finding his way back to commercial showbiz.

In a rare move, the gospel singer called a press conference in Nairobi on Friday declaring that he had something ‘important’ to say. He was flagged by his newfound friends Refigah of Grandpa Records and Tanzanian singer JI.

DNA began by recounting how since he saw the light, he has been off music for two years now and has focused on talking to schools and colleges on the ravages of drug abuse. All along, he said, he had been trying to find a footing in music because in his words “music without inspiration does not work”.

The Banjuka fame artiste then dropped the bombshell; he shall no longer be doing gospel music only. He elaborated that this is because he does not want to be put in a box and would rather do his music as he feels inspired to. To dispel any rumours, he elaborated that he had grown healthier, happy and has always stayed sober.

He also explained that he intends to keep matters of his personal faith and his family away from public discussion.

In partnership with Refigah and Grandpa Records, he explained that he will resume his old catalogue and even took the opportunity to launch his new jam Maswali Ya Polisi.

Lizz and Alex to settle in Kenya

Top Kenyan actress Lizz Njagah tied the knot with her fiancé Alexandros Konstantaras in Greece a week ago. The invites-only ceremony was attended by 200 guests among them CCTV’s business anchor Terryann Chebet — who was the maid of honour.

The couple is now on honeymoon in Europe. They plan to settle in Kenya where Alexandros, who is originally from Greece, has established a film production stable.

“We plan to host another wedding ceremony in Kenya early next year. That will largely depend on the time the General Elections will be held as we don’t want to get caught up in any election drama,” Liz told MondayBlues.

Minister abandoned by wife

After a night of binge drinking, a cabinet minister from Central Province differed with his wife before she abandoned him and drove off.

The Chiromo Road drama left the rather laid-back mheshimiwa stranded as the wife had driven away with his phone and wallet leaving him to fate.

Sources from the uptown members club — where the couple had been whiling away the night — told MondayBlues that the two had a fierce confrontation as the wife questioned the long serving MP about his philandering ways.

They differed and stormed out of the club but, as it seems, it got worse before the wife threw him out of the car. The minister was saved by University of Nairobi students who offered him a phone to call his bodyguards to his rescue.
