MP who has Sh700,000 fuel debt issues bad cheque

An MP from Rift Valley is under siege after issuing a bouncing cheque to a businessman who has been supplying him and his family fuel for their vehicles.

A little bird told The Grapevine that the politician recently gave out the cheque of Sh700, 000 to the trader who operates a petrol station, only for it to be rejected at the bank.

It is understood that the leader has since avoided the petrol station and is now fueling at another patrol station in the outskirts of the town.

Some workers at the petrol station revealed that the debt accumulated over a long period of time and that the legislator has acquired a habit of sending people at the station to fuel with promise that he will pay later.

He had credit account with the owners of the station but he has been abusing the good gesture by issuing the management with bad cheque.

The MP is never shy of drama. I once issued a photocopy of a cheque to National Government - Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) project committee saying the original cheque had been banked.
