Sudi, Kururia accuse Gachagua of sabotaging Ruto's agenda in Mt Kenya

MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Njoroge Kururia (Gatundu North) have said Mt Kenya deserves to benefit from President William Ruto because it overwhelmingly voted for him in 2022.
The two said former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua should not stay in the way of the development of the region because of his selfish political interests.
"I sympathise with our brothers from Mt Kenya; they contributed to the achievement of this government, but instead of supporting the government, they look for its downfall," Sudi said.
Sudi and Kuruia pledged to lead by example in uniting the country and ensuring that peace prevails.

They urged Kenyans, particularly politicians, to change from divisive politics, saying the country currently faces economic crises due to unnecessary utterances caused by politics from some selfish individuals.
They spoke after distributing CDF bursaries to schools at Wareng High School in Kapseret Sub County over the weekend.
"As young leaders, we have already agreed to abandon political selfishness and instead look for an amicable way of uniting Kenyans despite our political affiliation," said Sudi.
Kururia noted that central Kenya is peace-loving, and the head of state's visit will show his ongoing affection for the mountain.
He urged Ruto not to listen to threats from some individuals who he claimed were seeking sympathy for selfish political interests.
"I want to assure you here today, the people of Uasin Gishu, that the journey to the central province organised by President William Ruto is unstoppable. From here we are heading to the region to prepare the ground, and I can tell you that the majority of people there are behind Ruto," Njoroge said.
The MP urged Mt Kenya residents to give President William Ruto a heroic welcome during his one-week tour, saying those unhappy with his leadership should wait until 2027.
