Many candidates have encountered error messages such as "site can't be reached".

Some candidates have expressed frustration after being unable to access their 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

Following the release of the results by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba on Thursday, January 9, guidelines were provided on how candidates could access their results online.

"Examination results will be available through a secure link on the KNEC website or directly via https://results.knec.ac.ke. Candidates will need to enter their index number and any one of the names as registered for the 2024 exams," said Ogamba.

However, since the release, many candidates have encountered error messages such as "site can't be reached" and "this page isn't working."

Despite these issues, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has maintained that the portal is functioning. They urged users to remain patient, citing high traffic volumes.

"The portal for checking the 2024 KCSE results is fully functional, and candidates are receiving their results. The minor delays are due to the high number of requests, with up to 300,000 hits per second. We urge Kenyans to be patient, and assure them that everyone will be able to access their results," KNEC stated.

This is not the first time the portal has faced issues. In 2023, KCPE candidates also experienced difficulties accessing their results.
