While the top teams Kenya Police, Tusker and Gor Mahia fight for dominance, the relegation battle is intensifying, with Talanta and Bidco United desperate to escape the drop zone.
Sixteenth-placed Talanta, sitting just above the relegation zone with 18 points, will have a tough task on Saturday when they visit Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club.
Having won just four matches all season, Talanta cannot afford another slip-up as they risk dropping into the danger zone. Bandari, on the other hand, are fifth with 32 points and will be looking to close the gap on the top four.
Meanwhile, bottom-placed Bidco United face a daunting challenge against league leaders Kenya Police at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. Bidco, who have managed just three wins all season, are tied on 18 points with Talanta and Nairobi City Stars.
A defeat could see them fall further behind in the survival race, while Kenya Police will be eager to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Elsewhere, Murang’a SEAL hosts Ulinzi Stars at St. Sebastian Park, while Mara Sugar take on AFC Leopards in Awendo. KCB, who are fourth, will battle Sofapaka at Kenyatta Stadium as they push for a top-three finish.
The highlight of the weekend will be tomorrow’s clash between third-placed Gor Mahia and second-placed Tusker in Machakos.
With just four points separating them, this fixture could be crucial in the title race. Gor Mahia will be looking to bounce back after a shaky run, while Tusker is eager to stay level with Kenya Police at the top.
Shabana will host Mathare United at Gusii Stadium, with both teams hoping to climb away from the lower half of the table.
