Form Four student chops friend’s hand

Kitui, Kenya: A KCSE candidate in Kitui town ran berserk and attacked his “lover” from a neighbouring school, chopping off the girl’s hand.

The injured Form Three student from Yumbisye Mixed Secondary School is admitted to Kitui District Hospital nursing her injuries. She was also sustained cuts to the head and back, and other parts of the body.

The attacker who is a student at Changithya Secondary School in Kitui Central District lured the girl through a telephone call.

They met near Kitui Resort Club where he assaulted her.

Kitui OCPD Muchagi Kioi said initial investigations pointed to a love affair gone-sour, but promised intense investigations before the suspect is taken to court.

Kioi said the two had been in a relationship for two months before the attack.

The police boss said the boy ran away after the attack but was apprehended at his parents’ home in Wikililye area.
