Beer cocktails are referred to as ‘Shandies.’The Shandy dates its origin back to England in the 1850s. The ‘shandy’ or beer cocktail is very popular in the United Kingdom and now we have them in Kenya.
In Kenya, there are different variations of beer cocktails or shandies. They include Kenyan Sunrise, Kenyan Sunset, Kenyan Night, Tusker Lite Lemonade and Trojan Horse.
Below is a recipe for the Kenyan Night cocktail:
Ingredients:
3 Bottles of Tusker Malt.
1 Bottle of Lime Soda.

Method:
Start by pouring three bottles of Tusker malt into a pitcher. Then carefully add the Lime Soda. Just like that, serve in a beer glass rimmed with cinnamon.
This refreshing beer cocktail can be enjoyed during brunch, night outings with friends and even at events. Enjoy!
