General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, has once again stirred controversy—this time over his fascination with American pop star Beyoncé.

In a post on X that quickly caught netizens’ attention, Muhoozi professed his love for Beyoncé, declaring his intent to take her from her husband, rapper and businessman Jay-Z.

“Jay-Z can do whatever he wants to me, but I'm taking Beyoncé!” he wrote, following up with a string of tweets.

In one, he demanded, “Jay-Z must report to Uganda and apologize for marrying my woman... Beyoncé.”

In another, he challenged, “I challenge Jay-Z to a duel at dawn. If I win, I take Beyoncé.”

Netizens reacted swiftly.

@DeeSandy20 asked, “Taking her where?”

@paulssebugwao1 jokingly offered to contribute to Muhoozi’s outfit: “Afande, I have the ceremonial shoe to deliver to you as you go for Beyoncé. Kindly let me know where I can deliver it and your right size.”

@gen_masereka quipped, “I was told Beyoncé loves men who can sing, and I doubt if you can.”

General Muhoozi is no stranger to controversy. Weeks ago, he made headlines with his unconventional reason for avoiding church.

Taking to X, he admitted that he deliberately steers clear of church services, claiming the presence of beautiful women distracts him from his spiritual focus. According to him, their presence is not coincidental but a deliberate temptation from Satan.

"Long ago, I read somewhere that being a soldier is the second-best thing a man can do. The best is to be a priest, dedicating one's life to God completely, forsaking all women," he wrote. "When I heard about the women issue, I knew I couldn't manage,” he added.

Earlier this year, Muhoozi was also involved in an online clash with Winnie Byanyima, wife of opposition leader Kizza Besigye, over her past relationship with President Museveni. Muhoozi alleged that Winnie attempted to disrupt Museveni’s home and that the president eventually expelled her.
