Christina Shusho vows to reveal truth about marriage split

Tanzanian Gospel singer Christina Shusho has addressed rumors circulating about her recent marriage dissolution.

In a statement posted on social media, Shusho acknowledged the questions arising from interviews she gave in 2020 and 2022.

While promising to answer all questions in the future, she emphasized needing time and expressed her trust that the truth will eventually come out.

"I would like to take this opportunity to set some things straight. I know there are many questions due to the interviews I did in 2020 and others in 2022. Let me just say that I will answer all these questions shortly, and the truth will be known," wrote Christina Shusho.

Shusho also issued a warning to blogs and media outlets spreading false information about her marriage.

She stated her lawyers are involved and that legal action will be taken against those spreading misinformation.

"The day to speak out will come, and I believe the truth always sets one free," Shusho said in her statement.

She requested patience from her fans and the public as legal procedures unfold, saying that everyone is accountable to the law.

"I ask you to be patient during this time when the relevant authorities are working, and all processes are being carried out according to the law because no one is above the law, and there is no right without responsibility," she added.

This statement comes after reports surfaced of her ex-husband, John Shusho, speaking about his pain during a church service.

John Shusho reportedly spoke about overcoming challenges and finding purpose in difficult times.

“To get to a new level, you have to go through some challenges to prepare you for what is to come. You can never win without entering a contest. New level, new devil, new glory. When you come to a new level, you will face certain challenges, but God will always prepare you to overcome them for the season to come,” he said.

Adding: “Sometimes the preparation may not be what you expected or anticipated and because you never anticipated these new challenges, you will have to go through pain, you will be hurt but God always has a purpose for that pain. The pain is to mould you, to make you better than you were before”.

In recent years, Christina Shusho has been more open about her marriage struggles compared to her ex-husband.

She has previously spoken about regretting marrying young, at 19, and criticisms related to her in-laws.
