Kenyan international football player Michael Olunga formerly of Gor Mahia has no doubt proven beyond reasonable double that the country has what it takes in terms of professional football.
The striker who plays for the Swedish side Djurgarden IF scored a spectacular goal against the Norwegian side over the weekend in the 53rd minute. Upon coming in as a substitute, he unleashed a long range shot using his left foot.
Olunga who plays for Harambee Stars and also helped Gor Mahia win a league last year besides being named Most Valuable Player 2015 has now managed six stunning goals since joining the Swedish outfitearly this year.
Speaking to SDE Olunga has promised to keep the Kenyan football flag glowing in Sweden even after a section of football pundits criticized his decision to go abroad arguing that he should have played longer in the local league before deciding to move.
He told SDE: “I thank God again for He has enabled me to achieve this. Without Him I am nothing. He is my pillar and strength,” said the player.
