An icky bathroom
Dirty bathrooms repulse women. If you are having a female guest over and don’t have time to spring clean the whole house, forget everything else and head to your bathroom. No matter how clean and tastefully-furnished the rest of the house is, if the bathroom is not clean, she won’t be spending the night. Do you have hand soap, clean hand towels and toilet paper? Is there a ring in your shower or did you leave hair all over the sink after shaving in the morning? Clean it up...now! Always make sure that you have a clean bathroom that smells good.
Poorly-stocked kitchen
Granted, you are a bachelor. You are not whipping out gourmet meals out of your kitchen every night. However, it won’t bode well with your lady friend if the only thing in your fridge is a slice of leftover pizza and a bottle of rotting milk. What if she asks for a late night snack? And what the hell are you going to offer her for breakfast? Every bachelor should at the very least stock his kitchen with the basics. You should be able to whip up a decent meal at any time without having to run to the supermarket. Also, stock your fridge with a good bottle of wine.
Indecent reading materials and décor
When you are expecting female company, you need to get rid of that stash of pornographic magazines and take down that poster of a bikini-clad model you have hanging on your bedroom wall. You are not a hot-blooded 17-year-old anymore. What do you need that stuff for? You are a grown man. Don’t parade your erotic materials for the woman you are inviting over. She will just write you off as an immature sex crazed pervert.
Evidence of heavy partying
Why do men think that empty liquor bottles in their living rooms look good is beyond me. Being an alcoholic is no longer cool if you’re over the age of 25. Time to chuck these in the trash can. Trust me, those empty bottles you keep as trophies because you want to show off your binge drinking accomplishments will not make you look cool.
