His melodious voice sets him apart from the “boys”.

“I am inspired by veteran musicians the likes of Zaiko Langa Langa and Koffi Olomide, daily life happenings and conversations. I thought of no better way than to put it in form of music in order to pass on the message to the rest of the people out there.”

Indeed keen music listeners will agree that Lesasa’s music continues to be enjoying to date.

Formed more than a decade ago by Lesasa, Bilenge Musica dominated the country's Lingala scenario with unique style creating a unique African sound, quality music and energetic performances.

Due to his popularity Lesasa secured a contract to perform in Dubai alongside his band. What started as simple trip ended up being part of them as they often made trips to and fro Dubai due to public demand.

During the times Lesasa left one of his lead singers Darze Khalend in charge of the Nairobi based Bilenge band while he took charge of the one in Dubai.

However, in September 2010 upon being left alone after his former colleague Lesasa Joker flew to Dubai with the entire band - Darze decided to form his own band Bilenge Musica du Congo.

Although this did not go down well with Lesasa who was reportedly furious at him for sometime- the differences were soon resolved - and both parties are still doing music for a living.
