Three years ago, the country mourned over a terror attack at Westgate mall. The mall has since re-opened and resumed with normal activities. However, some Kenyans are yet to heal and come to terms with what happened.
Former Israeli deputy ambassador turned musician Gilad Milo is on a mission to help the country heal.
Famous for his song Unajua, Gilad has organised a concert dubbed ‘Westgate Live, Celebrating Life and Music.’
Gilad will be joined by fellow artistes Nameless and Nyashinski at the mall.
“This will be Nyashinki’s first show since he made a comeback. Nameless, on the other hand, will be showcasing 17 years of music. We will also have some victims attending. I live next to the mall and feel a personal loss because a friend lost their child during the attack. Music uplifts the soul and I hope it will bring happiness, healing and closure,” Gilad told Heads Up.
The event sponsored by The Nairobian will also feature other celebs like Wahu, Avril, Jeff Koinange, Willy Tuva, Juliani and Jaguar.
