Cunning mpango wa kando robs, ties Nakuru mzee to bed after bedroom marathon

Counties

An elderly resident of a Nakuru County village stunned everyone the other week when he was found crying like a baby, dressed only in his boxer shorts and claiming he had been robbed of his money. So incensed was the man that he could not stand the sight of a woman, calling them majangili. This was after he was relieved of an estimated Sh60,000 by a mpango wa kando and left tied to a bed with ropes after a marathon gland-to-gland combat in a Nakuru town estate.

DIFFERING OPINIONS

While some are sympathising with him, others are of the opinion he got what he deserved, owing to his unfaithfulness to his dutiful and submissive wife. It has emerged that the man had gone to town to withdraw this bulk sum to cater for an ongoing project in his home. While in town he opted to pass by the house of his secret liaison who has two children, suspected to be his. He was welcomed well, then he went further to wow the woman with grand tales of his ongoing project and what he was going to do with the wads of bank notes he was displaying.

The woman seemed happy to have him around, eyes on the banknotes, as she coaxed him to bed where it is reported she showed him lots of love and affection in a marathon session that completely drained him. As he took a nap to regain his strength, the mama put her plan in motion.

She subdued the old man in bed and tied his legs and hands to the bedpost with ropes. She proceeded to pick his pockets as the helpless man watched. He couldn’t even raise an alarm in his state of utter shock. As soon as she was done, the woman bolted.

One of the woman’s children entered the bedroom of the rental house and released the old ‘uncle’ from his bondage. He is said to have waited for the woman for hours, but she never showed up.

Eventually, he left for his village home and the magnitude of the loss hit him like a tonne of bricks.

‘ROBBERY’

He narrated the ‘robbery’ to the disbelieving wife as he unwittingly revealed the extent of his infidelity.

“Kwani una mwanamke mwingine na wewe ni mzee wa kanisa na kijiji? (so you have another woman, yet you’re a respected church and village elder?),” the wife is reported to have retorted. The inconsolable man went into real mourning. A snitch reports the man tore his clothes and was left in his briefs as he cursed and called women unprintable names.

Some who heard him thought he had lost his marbles, but it was to take a day before all became clear. He didn’t report the matter to police and is currently the village laughing stock as he mourns his loss while staring at his unfinished white elephant of a project.
