After tying the knot with popular Kenyan beauty Borna Nyaoke last year, celebrated Nigerian showbiz guru Ikechukwu Arthur Anoke aka Ike has now gone into politics, MondayBlues can exclusively confirm.
The Nairobi-based Taurus Group CEO, who has been ranked among the most influential, well-read and successful Nigerians below 40, has already booked himself a ticket to contest as a member of parliament in the Federal House of Representatives in next year’s General Election.
“He is only answering the people’s call. He has been involved in many youth leadership and development projects back at home and now the people have asked him to go and serve them,” his aide told MondayBlues over the weekend.
The events guru, credited for the Nigerian celebrity influx in Nairobi thanks to his Taurus outfit that brings in top Nigerian showbiz acts, is one of the most respected event organisers in Kenya.
However, lately, he has disappeared from the social scene and has been spotted a number of times hosting influential Nigerian politicians at Nairobi's Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel.
“He studied political science and I believe he is well placed to go into politics. As a member of the influential Nigerian gentlemen’s forum, it is not strange to see him take this challenge as his close friends have been urging him to do so,” Ike’s aide said.
