A popular Kenyan blogger demanded to be paid Sh5,000 before handing over Robert Alai’s cell phone number to the MCSK CEO Maurice Okoth on Saturday. The MCSK boss wanted to clarify a point on a trending debate on social media, as allegations went out that the society had paid Tanzanian artiste Diamond a hefty amount to perform at the MCSK awards going down this afternoon. Apparently Alai was at the centre of the debate.
“The guy said he would not hand over Alai’s number unless I gave him Sh5,000. That was a big shock to me,” Maurice said.
The said debate created a war of words between top entertainment blogging sites as they posted conflicting information about the said payment.
