The bank will partner with 27 DEFCO shops across the barracks on agent banking, where customers will be able to withdraw, make deposits, check balances, get mini-statements pay school fees and buy goods and services at subsidised rates.

Managing Director Munir Ahmed said the partnership reflected commitment by the bank to taking financial and banking services closer to its customers.

“The partnership we have signed with DEFCO will provide easy, innovative and convenient access to unlimited agent banking services to the military officers residing in the barracks and by extension National Bank’s customers.” said Mr Ahmed.

The partnership will also enable the bank to advance loan facilities to military officers in barracks across the country.
