The National Alliance goes digital in plans to recruit 10 million members

The National Alliance (TNA) is using a digital platform to recruit new members across the country.

In a move to strengthen its membership, the party wants to ensure young people register as party members.

TNA activist and Youth League interim chairman James Wanjohi said the initiative is targeting close to 10 million Kenyan youths by the end of next year in preparation for the 2017 General Election.

"We will go around the country encouraging young people to join TNA," said Mr Wanjohi.

"Even those in the diaspora will have no difficulty registering since the platform is quite efficient and reliable," he said.

TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo said even people under 18 years would be recruited.

"Anybody can now become a party member, including the young ones," he said.
