The anti-counterfeit agency in Mombasa yesterday nabbed fake Samsung cellphones worth Sh5.2 million.

Chief Anti-Counterfeit Inspector Ibrahim Bulle said Samsung had launched a complaint about an increase of fake phones in the market.

Consumers had also raised concern over the fake phones.

"The Anti-Illicit Trade agency of Samsung brand owners launched a complaint with our agency, we launched an operation in Mwembe Tayari and arrested six people. Some of the phones nabbed were Infix and Galaxy S7," said Bulle.
