Bodies believed to be of missing lawyer, client and driver recovered

Machakos, Kenya: Two bodies suspected to be that of missing taxi driver and his client who went missing have been found in Oldonyo Sabuk River, Kilimabogo.

The bodies were stuffed in sacks with heads covered in polythene bags.

A police source said it appeared they had been suffocated first before being dumped. “Their heads were in yellow plastic bags and one of them had his eyes gouged out,”said the source.  The bodies had no shoes but were smart and well shaved. 

The third body suspected to be that of lawyer Willie Kimani is said to have slipped into the river and search is ongoing.

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet had earlier ordered for the arrest of three AP officers suspected of kidnapping the trio. The three has so far been arrested and are being grilled by police. 

An American law enforcement agents based in Nairobi have been helping investigate the disappearance amid pilling pressure from American diplomats and their British counterparts on the Kenyan government to take the case seriously. 

Kimani, his client Eric Mwenda and their driver Joseph Muiruri have been missing since June 23 when they appeared in court for a case in which Mwenda has been sued for possessing marijuana and overloading.

Kimani and his client were picked by the taxi driver from Mavoko Law Courts shortly after 1pm and did not make it to thier homes.
