Kisii: Learning at Itierio Boys High School in Kisii has been paralysed after students burnt down 10 dormitories in protest against new ‘tough’ rules set by management.

The Saturday night riots in which eight of the dormitories were completely burnt also left the dining hall vandalised. The students also raided the principal’s office, school canteen as well as a laboratory at a neighbouring school where they left a trail of destruction.

Trouble started Saturday night when the boys were denied the chance to watch the ongoing Euro 2016 matches, irking the students who claim that the school has recently introduced rules that they deemed too tough.
