Bomet MCA killed in grisly road accident near Ntulele blackspot

Narok, Kenya: A Bomet Member of County Assembly (MCA) was Sunday evening killed in grisly road accident after the vehicle they were traveling in collided head-on with a lorry at Eor-Enkule near Ntulele blackspot.

The Nyongores MCA Cecilia Towett died on the spot while three others, among them her driver, survived the accident with serious injuries.

According to witnesses, the MCA's vehicle, which was headed for Bomet from Naivasha via Narok, tried to avoid hitting another vehicle when it rammed into the lorry.

Narok County Police Commander Abdi Galgalo, who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident, said the 7:30pm crash involved a Probox and a lorry.

The body of the deceased was moved to Narok County Hospital mortuary while those injured are receiving treatment at the same facility as the wreckages of the two vehicles have been towed to Ntulele police post.
