MP wants ICC to drop Ruto, Sang cases

Igembe North MP Joseph Eruaki

The International Criminal Court must withdraw charges against Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang, Igembe North legislator Joseph Eruaki has said.

"The ICC must stop redeeming its already battered image. Witnesses were coached to incriminate Mr Ruto. Our prayers are being answered by people who are coming out to confess that they procured witnesses for the ICC," said Mr Eruaki.

Eruaki added it was wrong for ICC to seek relevance by prosecuting the two with bogus evidence. Prayers for Ruto and Sang, expected to be attended by tens of political leaders and thousands of residents, are slated for this Sunday in Mwendantu, Meru town.
