Two arrested at Creamfields after cops find 100 ecstasy tablets stashed in shampoo bottles

Police have arrested two men at the Creamfields festival after officers found more than 100 ecstasy tablets hidden in shampoo bottles.

A shocking image shows officers uncovering the haul of tablets stashed in bottles of Head & Shoulders at the site in Daresbury, Cheshire.

It comes after a warning was issued about "very toxic" yellow pills with the Rolls-Royce logo and purple pills with the Louis Vuitton logo at Leeds Festival.

At Creamfields, Cheshire Police posted the shampoo bottle seizure on the force’s Facebook page at 10.30pm last night, with the drugs apparently found at the VIP entrance.

The UK’s biggest dance festival got under way last night, with gates officially opening at 12pm on Friday afternoon, reports the Liverpool Echo.

More than 70,000 people are expected to attend across three-days, with The Chemical Brothers, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong headlining.

Ahead of the festival, Cheshire police had warned there would be tight security in place, with those attending subject to ‘stringent security checks’ as they enter – including body searches and sniffer dogs.

Anyone who refuses to be searched were told they would be denied entry into the event while amnesty bins for drugs and weapons are available.

Inspector Stewart Sheer, of Cheshire police said: “Festival-goers are reminded that security will be tight at the event.

“Security measures will be in place and it is important that those attending are aware of these.

“Drug use will not be tolerated and positive action will be taken by police.

“Searches are a condition of entry and drugs dogs will be used at the entrances to the site.

“Surrender bins will be provided at the entrances for festival goers to place any drugs or weapons into.

“Anyone found with drugs or weapons, having not placed them into the bins, will be dealt with by police.

“I would advise anyone considering bringing any such items to not bring them in the first place.”

On the official Leeds Festival Facebook page, a warning was issued over the "very toxic" pills on Thursday.

It reads: "A yellow pill with Rolls Royce logo and a purple pill with a Louis Vuitton logo have been brought to our attention - these are very toxic and seem to result in being hospitalised when taking them.

"If seen or found please alert a Steward, Police Officer or Security. There are Amnesty Bins at the Entrance Gates and the Welfare Tent."
