Yet another gospel award extravaganza beckons courtesy of the Mwafaka Awards 2015 happening this Sunday 30th August, and this time around, top nominees are out seeking votes from their fans in a bid to see who takes the crown home.
With male celebrities Willy Paul, Bahati, Chris Eeh Baba, Guardian Angel, L Jay Maasai, Papa Dennis and Piston battling for Top Male Artiste of The Year, this is yet another chance to define kings within the gospel circles.
Ladies are also putting their best foot forward with Janet Otieno, Size 8, Eunice Njeri, Evelyn Wanjiru, Rosemary Njagi, Mercy Masika, Ruth Matete battling for the Top Female Artiste of The Year.
Despite the Groove Awards happening months back, and the same nominees battling it out in similar categories, fans are eager to see who shall retain their crowns vis a vis what new winners shall be unveiled.
Mwafaka organizer affirmed that these awards would be grander saying, “This awards shall see new acts awarded and some past winners may step down. Most importantly, we are also eager to see who fans settle upon for their Mwafaka male and female artistes of the year which are the most coveted posts.”
The gala will take place this Sunday 30th August at the KICC ballroom.
