For the past week, Kenyans in the Nairobi CBD have been subjected to all manner of noise from bikers as they embarked to defend their rights and air out issues affecting them. They specifically wanted designated parking spots set out for them, lanes constructed and harassment by City Council askaris to come to an end.
Well, someone headed to their pleas and gave them workable solutions as shared by Motorcycle Kenya; an association comprised of Private Motorcycle Clubs, Associations and Groups in Kenya. They have for example declared Friday, July 31st to be the National Bikers Day.
These are the other benefits bikers are going to start receiving:
“After consultation with all our members we have declared Friday, July 31st the National Bikers Day. This is a day to focus on the state of the Motorcycle Industry in Kenya. We have organized a Bikers Gathering at Uhuru Park, a Bikers Parade round the city and courtesy calls to the Ministry of Transport, NTSA, Kenya Police Headquarters, Supreme Court – Chief Justice’s Office and the County Headquarters – Governors Office.” the organization said.
