Her role as ‘Olive’ in ‘Mother in law’ a local show could lead you to believe that her life is all about living under the spotlight and fun.
But the stunning actress has come out to tell her fans that it hasn’t been rainbows and unicorns in her journey.
Stress was one of the situations in which actress Idah Alisha Wanyoike who goes by the stage name Olive Mwamba in “Mother in law” found herself at some time in her life.
She further revealed how the stressful situation forced her to drink much and eat a lot without doing anything.
“So for a season in my life I went through so much stress and pain. I cried, drunk A LOT and ATE A LOT!!! I had lost myself and was slowly wasting away,” Idah narrated
The actress was quick to point out that her much needed recovery happened and she had her fellow actress Celina, friends and family to thank for it.
“I thank God for good friends and family ... the encouragement from just texts or phone calls helped big time! Now look ... I am stronger, and healthier. Thanks to my main chick Celina... lol! She woke up one morning and went like "Enough crying woman! and you are growing fat ..." That’s how we started hitting the gym,” Idah concluded.
