After the outrage by Kenyans on the uprooting of Kidero’s grass and plants, the Governor has come out to clear the air.
“Please take note that NO ONE is uprooting ?#KideroGrass,” Kidero said on his Facebook page.
He went ahead to clarify that the contractor was only restoring the ground in order to do proper planting.
And in case you are anxious about the rate of growth Kidero assures the public that the quality of grass selected takes time to grow.
“Please take note that NO ONE is uprooting ?#KideroGrass. The appointed contractor is restoring the ground in order to do proper planting. #KideroGrass is well on course, the quality of grass selected takes time to grow!” read the full statement
That would probably explain why the seedlings were still in plastic soil wrappings.
What the governor did not explain however was if this replanting was coming at an extra cost to the taxpayers.
