Doreen Onduso Ambetsa, the daughter of one of the most outspoken governors in the country, Wycliffe Oparanya, caused a social media frenzy after her photos on top of a county governor’s official car started trending this week.

In a move to defend the young woman, Oparanya’s personal assistant has termed the matter a non-issue.

In the photos, Doreen was pictured posing on the bonnet of a county governor’s official car, a Mercedes Benz. A young man is also seen posing with her in the second picture. Oparanya’s aide Samuel Wetungu took to his Facebook page asking Kenyans not to make it a big issue. “That roasting is just ok. People pose with all kinds of cars for many dignitaries. I saw the ones with Obama’s choppers and plane, The Beast and other selfies. How you pose on it or how closer given that chance should not be a big issue,” wrote Wetungu.

Oparanya and Doreen have not commented on the matter. The Nairoban contacted Ambetsa Onduso but there was no response.

Rich kids of Instagram

Doreen certainly is not the first to cause a stir on social media with her photos.

Brenda Mutanu the daughter of Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua posted a photo on her Instagram handle while smoking Sheesha in one of the city clubs.

Alvin Kiarie Kabogo commonly known as Kabogo Junior, the son of Kiambu County governor William Kabogo posted a picture with his friends in a club holding a bottle of Belvedere, the world’s first luxury vodka which goes for around Sh44,000 and Nebuchadnezzar that goes for around Sh24,000.
