President Uhuru Kenyatta was an unexpected visitor to one shopkeeper in Machakos. In a surprise visit to the shop, the president bought a bottle of soda his quench the thirst in the seemingly hot Machakos weather.
The easy going head of state together with leaders from the county, gathered at the shop to order their refreshments.
Kenyatta finds Mwingi Central MP, Joe Mutambu, already drinking soda accompanying it with doughnut, before ordering one himself.
This is one of the many stunts Mr. Kenyatta has pulled since he took over the presidency.
In 2014 the president together with his deputy William ruto, on his way to Tanzania, stopped on the way to have Nyama choma under a tree.
Then there was the motorbike incident, when he launched the Toyoya plant along Mombasa road.
In another unusual turn of events Uhuru drove himself to his house, after case against him at the ICC was thrown out.
Earlier in the county, the president had toured Machakos Hospital where the first public hospital fitted with new machines was unveiled
He had visited the county to launch the last mile connectivity project which involves expansion of electricity in the county. He had visited Katulu Primary School in Tala which is one of the beneficiaries of Kenya power's expansion programme.
