Last Saturday, a group of EFC (Entertainment with Fun for Charity) members made their way to Kitui laden with food and sunscreen lotions for the St Luke’s Home for the blind.
These items had been funded by money raised on the last EFC Tournament that took place on the 1st May.
More than 120 children are currently living at St. Luke's, a residential facility that cares for blind and partially sighted children ranging in age from five to eighteen years old.
Out them, more than 20 of the kids are children with Albinism as one of the symptoms of albinism is vision impairment.
The center has been able to not only keep these kids safe but also given them a chance to have an education.
But times have not been easy with the staff going for months without pay and putting food on the table becoming a constant struggle.
EFC, MCSK and Colour Kwa Face were able to provide some reprieve with the donations although more needs to be done from well wishers.
EFC was created by Nonini and a group of like-minded people with an agenda of having fun playing Basketball and entertainment with a cause for Charity.
SportsPesa and Steve Ndomblo also partnered in this initiative.
