Meet Britain’s Royal soldier Prince Harry in action

UK: These amazing new pictures show Prince Harry in action training with the Australian Defence Force.

The prince is pictured descending from a helicopter on a rope, flying over the Sydney Opera House and diving underwater with the Royal Australian Navy.

He also shows his softer side cuddling a working military dog during a Counter Terrorism exercise in Sydney.

During his month-long military attachment Down Under the 30-year-old prince trained at detonating an IED, joined Special Forces in Perth for live shooting exercises and abseiled down a building.

He also co-piloted an Army Black Hawk and flew an Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) Tiger, as well as spending two weeks in the Northern Territory training with the mostly indigenous NORFORCE regiment.

A press release from the Australian Defence force today said: "Captain Wales has completed the final two weeks of his Australian Army attachment, training with soldiers of the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) in Perth Western Australia and the 2nd Commando Regiment in Sydney New South Wales.

"Captain Wales challenged himself against elements of the gruelling SASR selection course, including a fitness test and a physical training session with SASR selection candidates."

Action man Harry completes his attachment today and will begin a royal tour of New Zealand tomorrow.

He told reporters during a walkabout in Sydney on yesterday: "They have made me feel so at home here. "It’s going to be hard to leave - I don’t want to go home, I want to stay here.”

Following his return from New Zealand Prince Harry will leave the military and focus on charity work.

But he will stay connected to the Forces by making wounded servicemen and women his charitable focus.
