Three people killed in Turkana County

TURKANA, KENYA: Three people have been killed following a Monday morning attack at Lorogon, Turkana South.
Speaking in Lodwar town, Turkana County Governor, Josphat Nanok said that he was saddened by the inhumane killings along the volatile border.
He stated that the security team was to blame for the deaths of the three children.
"It is disappointing that the security situation is deteriorating. We have lost three children who had a bright future, three young people who would eventually help our county. I blame the security team for not arriving early enough to help the three who bled to death," said the Governor.
According to the Turkana South Sub County Commissioner, Elijah Kodoh, the three were shot on their way to a nearby river to fetch water.
"They were ambushed and shot at by armed bandits," said Mr. Kodoh.
