NAIROBI: Four people including an engineer, a designer and the owner of a building have been arrested following the collapse of a seven-storey building that killed seven people in Roysambu, Nairobi.

The four were arrested after investigations showed they were behind the building's construction. They are expected in court Friday to face manslaughter charges.

The building collapsed on April 2 while under construction and killed the seven workers and injured 15 others.

The owner was among those who were injured and was arrested on Thursday when he went to record a statement. Cases of collapse of buildings are rampant in Nairobi.
