Jubilee Alliance Party now recruiting county chiefs

Days after losing the Kajiado Central constituency by-election, the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) has began to establish its administrative structures.

The new party is now seeking to recruit co-ordinators in 47 counties.

The co-ordinators would be acting as the link between the county and national office, spearheading membership recruitment and opening party offices.

According to JAP Secretary General Veronica Maina, the new positions are for volunteers who should submit their applications by April 7.

The move is aimed at healing rifts in county branches where factions have been fighting to take control of JAP affairs, especially in Jubilee strongholds.

In Nyeri, Nakuru and Laikipia counties, party leaders have been engaged in squabbles over who are the bona fide party officials.

In Nakuru, a faction led by Jubilee operative James Karimi, who was initially seeking to take over TNA branch leadership, has opened JAP offices.
