Kenya woos Turkey's leather investors

Kenya: The Government is taking its renewed focus on the leather sector right to the doorstep of the world's best player in the industry. Industrialisation and Enterprise Development Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohamed is in Turkey to meet industrialists and investors in the sector.

He attended an investor session that attracted a 30-member delegation of investors in tanning, footwear, garments and saddlery from Turkey.

And speaking when he met the President of Turkey Leather Industries Association Erdal Matras, Mohamed said "Kenya is offering a world class investment location with the proposed Leather Zone and we encourage global players based in Turkey to invest in Kenya".

The CS was accompanied by Export Processing Zones Authority officials, MPs and Kenyan Ambassador to Turkey Kiema Kilonzo.
