Deputy President William Ruto jets back from Hague

Deputy President William Ruto arrived back home today from The Hague where he has been attending his case at the ICC.

While in The Hague, Mr. Ruto took time off to represent President Kenyatta at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland where he urged a congregation of African leaders to seek solutions to their own problems and change the narrative that Africa is a continent that cannot solve its problems.

Mr. Ruto said it was failure by leaders to find solutions that depicted Africa as a continent afflicted by disease, poverty, catastrophe and underdevelopment.

The leaders who included Presidents Paul Kagame (Rwanda) Ibrahim Boubacar (Mali) Alpha Conde (Guinea) and Ivory Coast Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan and the President of African Development Bank Donald Kaberuka discussed ideas that could accelerate inclusive growth and sustainable development for Africa.
