Nairobi, Kenya: Tusker have let go of number one goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo who has since joined KRA. Odhiambo was captain of the brewers last season and featured in more than 25 matches in all competitions for the brewers and was the least expected to be released.

But Tusker coach Francis Kimanzi has confirmed the two parted company on mutual consent.

“We have released him. He was interested to move and we really could not stand in his way,” he said.

Kimanzi further said that another goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch is out of contract and the club is not keen to offer him a new deal.

“We have Duncan Ochieng’ and Faruk Shikalo and therefore are well covered in the goalkeeping department. We are not concerned on whether he will renew his contract or not.”

But the prospect of not having midfielder Khalid Aucho next season is causing panic at Ruaraka. Aucho’s contract has run out as well and he has indicated a desire to join Gor Mahia.
