Embu locals in distress as taps run dry

Embu County residents went without water for three days after the main pipeline burst on Wednesday. The problem affected residential houses, hotels, car wash and industries.

The residents took to social media to protest and called on the Embu Water and Sanitation Company (Ewasco) to urgently repair the pipe. Ewasco CEO Hamilton Karugendo said: "Our technicians are working on it. We expect  water supply to resume by evening. We ask people not to panic," he said.
