Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp: Dortmund hoping to secure top spot in Group D

Jurgen Klopp claims he has much bigger problems on his plate than Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger.

Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp has been tipped to be a successor to Wenger at the Gunners, but his German club find themselves third from bottom in the Bundesliga.

That puts Wenger’s troubles into perspective and Klopp admits on the eve of Wednesday's showdown between the pair at the Emirates that he is under “real pressure” - to such an extent that the Champions League is like a “holiday” from all his problems.

Klopp, who beat Wenger's men 2-0 in September's reverse fixture after each side won away when the teams met in last season's group stage, said: “I think we have much more injuries, much more problems, it is longer since last year.

“We have real pressure too. Not maybe in this competition tomorrow, but we have a big target, we want to go through in first position. But in the Bundesliga, we have real pressure.

“It is a problem of misunderstanding of the situation. I cannot change the Bundesliga situation, so it is a little bit like a holiday situation for me. It is only the Champions League.

“At this moment, it is not with the crowd, with the club, but it is the pressure I make myself, and that is more than enough.”

The 47-year-old also tried to play down an imminent move to English football - but said he can “learn very fast” and admits it’s a possibility in the future as he reiterated his “come and get me” TV interview from last week:

“I don’t think about my future at this moment. The only (other) language I speak is English a little bit and for my type of coaching, I need the language. The funny part I will learn very fast.

“But not now, I don’t know when. I don’t plan things like this. They (BT Sport) asked me what do you do after Borussia Dortmund? I told them it is possible if somebody called me then, then we could talk about it. But that is all.

"I did not say I am here on Monday!”
